![]() For the most part, the best way to survive is to avoid the hazards by jumping over them or sliding under them. Along the way, you will encounter enemies, saws, spikes, and endless different types of hazards trying to keep Meat Boy from his child. The goal for most levels is to get to Nugget, who is on the far right side of the stage. ![]() On top of that, there are extra worlds and a warp mini-game in each world. There are the base levels in every world, then the boss level at the end of every stage (we will get to these), then there are the dark world versions of each level (unlocked after getting an A+ rank on the light world variant). That is not to say that there is not a good number of levels, because there is. There are also far fewer levels in Forever but that is because each level is about five or six of the levels from the original. Unlike Super Meat Boy, these levels are very long and feature checkpoints sprinkled throughout. Although, nothing in this game gets even remotely as difficult as Super Meat Boy gets. Of course, in the spirit of the original game, the game is fast and intense, full of tight input windows and miserable challenges. ![]() It was originally imagined as an infinite runner, along the lines of Jetpack Joyride, although after the endless development cycle, the idea was repackaged to feature actual levels and a story. Super Meat Boy Forever is an auto-runner, which is one of the main factors that has stuck around since it’s inception as a mobile game. The game can no longer be played on common web browsers due to Adobe Flash Player's death, but can be played with the flashpoint application, which is an archive with a built-in player. We have to start this section by addressing the elephant in the room: gameplay-wise, this game is completely different from Super Meat Boy.According to the description of the game on Newgrounds, this is a prototype of Super Meat Boy.If the game window is stretched out longer than it should be while in the intro, you can see meat boy become stuck infinitely running into a tree in the menu.In the super version, meat boy only explodes, without his skeleton falling out Meat boy's skeleton falls out when dying (along with meat boy exploding).Fetus appearing, taking bandaid girl and flying away. Fetus kidnapping bandaid (bandage) girl when completing a level, showing Dr. Most, if not all of it, audio in this game is in horrible quality. There are bandaids instead, which look identical to bandages. The screen fades to white as the two leap into the air, about to clash with each other. Fetus, who in turn charges towards Meat Boy. Fetus punches Bandage Girl, Meat Boy becomes enraged and charges towards Dr. Ending 4: It begins like first two endings, only this time when Dr.Fetus punches Bandage Girl, making her fall too. Fetus stops with Bandage Girl, but instead of Meat Boy slowing down and stopping, his blood made him slip. Despite the blast from the nuclear explosion, Dr. Fetus then fires a "poop" laser from his butt, killing Meat Boy, then creating a nuclear explosion. (Resembling the internet meme, Shoop Da Whoop) Dr. Fetus poops in front of on Meat Boy, a voice that says "IMMA FIRIN' MAH LAZOR!!!" is heard. Bandage Girl then hugs Meat Boy, and he winks. Fetus up while Meat Boy enjoys it, then finishes him but squishing his little body under her foot. Fetus then flips Meat Boy off, making Meat Boy become mad. Fetus punches Bandage girl just to make Meat Boy feel bad. Fetus stops with Bandage Girl, and Meat Boy also stops. Some of the content on this page is from the Meat Boy Map Pack, which is also a flash game and an extra in The Basement Collection.Įndings 2, 3, and 4 are exclusive to the Map Pack. The Basement Collection is possibly named after the first level in The Binding of Isaac. Meat Boy was later included in another one of Edmund McMillen's games, The Basement Collection, a collection of Edmund McMillen's flash games with major improvements. Later making the Map Pack which contains 5 new chapters, 4 new characters, and 3 new endings. ![]() This is how it looks in-game (like a comic). The original Meat Boy has only 4 chapters: The Forest, The Salt Factory, Hell, and the Expert Chapter. Some find it hard to go back due to the "inferior" controls (namely Meat Boy's abysmal deceleration, making it incredibly easy to overshoot jumps). This success is what led to the full Super Meat Boy. It got a very positive reception, gaining many "10" ratings by the members of the site. The original Meat Boy was a flash game developed by Edmund McMillen and Jonathan McEntee that was released to Newgrounds on October 5, 2008.
